About

Vintage Bookworms was created in December 2010 by Amanda. (It's original name was The Vintage Bookworm, but was changed in April 2013 when Megan joined the blog.) The blog was created so Amanda could get back into her love for reading and to share her opinions on the books that she read.

Vintage Bookworms is mostly books of the Young Adult fiction genre, but will occasionally have some Adult titles thrown into the bunch. It all depends on what sounds interesting to the bookworms.

My name is Amanda, but a lot of people call me Mandy. I've been a bookworm even since before I could read. I used to sit on the couch with a stack of my books and pretend I could read them, and once I started Kindergarten and fully learned to read, I haven't put down a book since.

Not only do I love to read, but I'm also an aspiring YA Author. I stopped blogging back in November 2012 to focus more on my writing and started a YA Urban Fantasy and finished the rough draft in March 2013. I'm currently in the revision and 2nd draft process of that WIP, which is currently titled BRING ME TO LIFE. I'm also working on the first draft of a different book that is also a first in a series, which is currently un-named.

I currently live in a small town in Florida, and I have a 2-year-old son. Things can get kind of crazy, so forgive me if I have late posts or reviews!

Hi, my name is Megan. I’m new to the book blogging community and I’m very excited to get started. Naturally, I love to read books, talk about books and recommend books. My bookshelves are a hodgepodge of stories ranging from high fantasy to romance, Sci-fi to historical fiction. Basically, I’ll read anything!

Some of my favorite authors include Sherrilyn Kenyon, Maggie Stiefvater, Beth Revis, Richelle Mead and Charlaine Harris.

I’m always happy to chat about all things books and writing and adorable animals.  Don’t be shy; I’d love to hear from you!
