Past, Present & Future #12

Past, Present, & Future Reading Pile is a  feature on my blog where I do a post every Sunday to keep track of the books I've read the week before, what I'm currently reading and which books I hope to start and finish during that week.

Sorry this is so late guys! I decided to pass out and go to sleep instead of doing blog stuff yesterday. This has been a busy week! My Uncle's funeral on Thursday, and then my son's first birthday and party was on Saturday!
The Past
(Clarity, #1)
Publisher: Scholastic/Point
Release Date: March 1, 2011
Clarity “Clare” Fern sees things. Things no one else can see. Things like stolen kisses and long-buried secrets. All she has to do is touch a certain object, and the visions come to her. It’s a gift.
And a curse.
When a teenage girl is found murdered, Clare’s ex-boyfriend wants her to help solve the case—but Clare is still furious at the cheating jerk. Then Clare’s brother—who has supernatural gifts of his own—becomes the prime suspect, and Clare can no longer look away. Teaming up with Gabriel, the smoldering son of the new detective, Clare must venture into the depths of fear, revenge, and lust in order to track the killer. But will her sight fail her just when she needs it most?
This was really good! I wish I had Perception to read. =D You can read my review here

The Present
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Release Date: December 29, 2009
When Kaylee Cavanaugh screams, someone dies.
So when teen pop star Eden croaks onstage and Kaylee doesn’t wail, she knows something is dead wrong. She can’t cry for someone who has no soul.
The last thing Kaylee needs right now is to be skipping school, breaking her dad’s ironclad curfew and putting her too-hot-to-be-real boyfriend’s loyalty to the test. But starry-eyed teens are trading their souls: a flickering lifetime of fame and fortune in exchange for eternity in the Netherworld—a consequence they can’t possibly understand.
Kaylee can’t let that happen, even if trying to save their souls means putting her own at risk...
I started this on Tuesday when I finished Clarity, but I had a busy week so I didn't finish it! I'm about 130 pages in, so hopefully I finish soon!
The Future
After I finish My Soul to Save, I hope to start on Born at Midnight and then read Firelight. I have a batch of books that are due back at the library on the 2nd of April, and I can't renew them anymore. =( So I'm not sure how many I'll get finished.

  1. I have Firelight on my kindle, just haven't got around to reading it. I think its because I always see mixed reviews. I read one, get excited, then read another and become disappointed. I guess I should just buck up and read it myself, huh? Be my own judge... anyways, hope you enjoy it!

    1. Thanks! I've had it on my list since before it came out, and STILL haven't had the change to read it. I need to read it soon since I got it from the library! I've heard mixed reviews too. =) I've just stopped reading reviews on it for now, it sounds amazing so I want to just dive in and judge it myself and form my own opinion.

I hope you read it soon as well!
