RAK: September

Random Acts of Kindness is an awesome monthly event hosted by Book Soulmates. This monthly event is truly a random act of kindness, participants who sign up take part in giving and receiving books based on the awesome things on your wish lists. To find out more information on the RAK event and read the rules, go here.
Gosh, I can't believe it's already September! Next month is Halloween, and then the next month is Thanksgiving, and then Christmas the next! How has 2012 gone by so fast?! It's complete madness.

So you may have noticed. I've been in a bit of a rut lately with blogging and reading. I didn't even participate in RAK in August. But I'm trying to get back into the groove of things!

You can find my wish list here. And my outdated (Some probably have already been released....) ARC wish list. Please e-mail me at thevintagebookworm AT aol DOT com if you have any questions.

Top Five
on my Wish List
  1. The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, by Michelle Hodkin (I've read this and absolutely LOVED it, but I want my own copy so I can re-read it and stare at it's pretty cover.)
  2. The Evolution of Mara Dyer, by Michelle Hodkin
  3. Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake, by Sarah MacLean
  4. Starling, by Lesley Livingston
  5. Nevermore, by Kelly Creagh
If you have any books off my wish list and would like to trade them for a custom blog design, please let me know! =D Good luck everyone!

I received one eBook from Tynga of Tynga's Reviews in June. Thank you so much, Tynga!
Hourglass, by Myra McEntire
(Hourglass, #1)
Publisher: Egmont USA
Release Date: June 14, 2011
One hour to rewrite the past . . .
For seventeen-year-old Emerson Cole, life is about seeing what isn't there: swooning Southern Belles; soldiers long forgotten; a haunting jazz trio that vanishes in an instant. Plagued by phantoms since her parents' death, she just wants the apparitions to stop so she can be normal. She's tried everything, but the visions keep coming back. So when her well-meaning brother brings in a consultant from a secretive organization called the Hourglass, Emerson's willing to try one last cure. But meeting Michael Weaver may not only change her future, it may change her past.
Who is this dark, mysterious, sympathetic guy, barely older than Emerson herself, who seems to believe every crazy word she says? Why does an electric charge seem to run through the room whenever he's around? And why is he so insistent that he needs her help to prevent a death that never should have happened?
I didn't get the chance to make any layouts for RAK gifts this month, sorry guys! But I will definitely try to find one to do in July! =D

Ismae’s most important assignment takes her straight into the high court of Brittany—where she finds herself woefully under prepared—not only for the deadly games of intrigue and treason, but for the impossible choices she must make. For how can she deliver Death’s vengeance upon a target who, against her will, has stolen her heart?
I made one layout this month for RAK. It hasn't gone live yet, but it will soon. I made this layout for Louisa @ Words I Write Crazy. So go check out her blog and be sure to lookout for her new design sometime soon!

    I can't believe it's already May!! Release Date: January 2, 2012

Now, torn between her increasingly complicated feelings for Christian and her love for her boyfriend, Tucker, Clara struggles to make sense of what she was supposed to do the day of the fire. With her future uncertain, the only thing Clara knows for sure is that the fire was just the beginning.
Debdatta ordered me a UK paperback of Hallowed from The Book Depo! I haven't read it yet, but I plan on doing it ASAP!

I haven't signed up for RAK since last year because I didn't want to join when I couldn't send anything out in return. I still can't afford to send out any books, but I've created a custom blog design blog to create custom blog designs for blogger who can't afford custom layouts that are basically $100. I make custom designs in exchange for books on my wish list. =)

I can't do anything too fancy like those who have Photoshop and everything, but I can do a pretty good job and I keep working on it until you think it's perfect and ready to go live. So if you'd like a custom design, please e-mail me or fill out an order form here, and make sure to put RAK in the comments section!

I'll be making a new wishlist somewhere soon, but for right now please look at my wishlist here, or look at my review title wishlist here
