Past, Present & Future Reading Pile #4

Past, Present, & Future Reading Pile is a new feature on my blog where I "hopefully" post every Monday to keep track of the books I've read the week before, what I'm currently reading and which books I hope to start and finish during that week.
*Note*: If you've seen a similar thing around, please let me know so I can credit them saying they were what inspired this new feature. Thanks!
The Past
Release Date: February 3, 2009
After a horrible accident claims the lives of her family, sixteen-year-old Ever Bloom can see people's auras, hear their thoughts, and know someone's entire life story by touching them. Going out of her way to avoid human contact and suppress her abilities, she has been branded a freak at her new high school-but everything changes when she meets Damen Auguste. Damen is gorgeous, exotic, and wealthy. He's the only one who can silence the noise and random energy in her head-wielding a magic so intense, it's as though he can peer into her soul. As Ever is drawn deeper into his enticing world of secrets and mystery, she's left with more questions than answers. And she has no idea who he really is-or what he is. The only thing she knows to be true is that she's falling deeply and helplessly in love with him.
This one was a re-read for me. I read it back in 2009 when it came out, but never continued with the series. You can read my review here.
Blue Moon, by Alyson Noel
(The Immortals, #2)
Publisher: St. Martin's Griffin
Release Date: July 7, 2009
Just as Ever is learning everything she can about her new abilities as an immortal, initiated into the dark, seductive world by her beloved Damen, something terrible is happening to him.  As Ever’s powers are increasing, Damen’s are fading—stricken by a mysterious illness that threatens his memory, his identity, his life.
Desperate to save him, Ever travels to the mystical dimension of Summerland, uncovering not only the secrets of Damen’s past—the brutal, tortured history he hoped to keep hidden—but also an ancient text revealing the workings of time. With the approaching blue moon heralding her only window for travel, Ever is forced to decide between turning back the clock and saving her family from the accident that claimed them—or staying in the present and saving Damen, who grows weaker each day...
I am very glad I got to read this book this week. When I originally read the first book, I never continued to the sequel. It was a bit weird, but I did like it. I can't wait for the third book in the series, Shadowland! My review is set to be posted on Thursday, February 2, 2012.
Total Books Read: 2

The Present
(Shifters, #1)
Publisher: Mira
Release Date: June 1, 2007
There are only eight breeding female werecats left . . . And I'm one of them.I look like an all-American grad student. But I am a werecat, a shape-shifter, and I live in two worlds.Despite reservations from my family and my Pride, I escaped the pressure to continue my species and carved out a normal life for myself. Until the night a Stray attacked.I'd been warned about Strays -- werecats without a Pride, constantly on the lookout for someone like me: attractive, female, and fertile. I fought him off, but then learned two of my fellow tabbies had disappeared. This brush with danger was all my Pride needed to summon me back . . . for my own protection. Yeah, right. But I'm no meek kitty. I'll take on whatever -- and whoever -- I have to in order to find my friends. Watch out, Strays -- 'cause I got claws, and I'm not afraid to use them . . .
This is another book that I am re-reading in order to continue with the series and get caught up. I have only read the first two books in this series. I forgot how great this was and how much I loved the main character, Faythe. =D Definitely a kick-ass heroine. This is an adult book.
The Future
After I finish re-reading Stray, I will go on to read The Carrier of the Mark. Which I am very excited about! Hopefully by the time I'm done reading it my husband will be done reading Rogue. We're in a bit of a reading competition at the moment. He started it....Seriously. And it turned me all competitive.

But anyway, what is your Past, Present & Future Reads?! Leave a comment below telling me the books you read this week, what you are currently reading, and what you hope to read next. =)

Happy reading and have an awesome week!

  1. Looks like you'll be having a great week! This looks like a similar feature I link up to on Mondays.

It's called what Are You Reading? and it is hosted by Sheila at the Book Journey
