When I read the first book, A Touch Mortal, last year; I fell in love. It was one of my top favorite books last year. It's taken me a while to finally grab a copy of this at the library, and I'm so mad for it! Though I didn't love A Touch Morbid as much as the first book, I still really liked it and I am still absolutely in love with this series.

The writing is amazing and flows extremely well and when I did have the time to read, I flew through the pages. I hate how long it took me to finish this because of not having time! If I could have, I would of sat there and finished the book in one sitting.

So much happens through this book and you learn more about how everything works in Eden's world and some of it is scary, but so intriguing! This series is so unique and I love it! I don't want to give anything away and spoil anything, so I won't go into too much detail.

Eden has grown a lot since the first book, but you can tell she's fighting something. She's having problems in this book and being really secretive about it. I was worried about it through the whole book, I was curious as to what it was, but still had a good idea of what it could be.

The point-of-views change between Eden, Gabe, Jarrod and Kristen, which I LOVED! I loved getting more in sync with Jarrod and also getting into Kristen's head. You get to learn a lot more about the character's and I was happy for that because though Kristen is really weird and a bit insane, I love her. Sometimes she aggravates the crap out of me where I just want to shake her and slap her, but she's one of my favorite characters. She's written extremely well!

There's a new character that pops up and she really bugged me at first, but I finally started being able to tolerate her and I'm REALLY curious as to how she's going to be in the third book because of what happens in the end!

And gah Luke. I hate him, but then I like him with Kristen. Is that bad?! He's so evil, but when he's around Kristen you get this kind of sweet and caring side of him. You can tell he really loves Kristen. But gah he's so EVIL!

And Gabe was one of my favorite characters in the first book, and I'm sad that you don't get to see TOO much of him in this book, but he is fighting something (Which you most likely know what if you've read the first book.). I really liked how he was fighting something, but still kind of was himself through parts of it. He fought it REALLY hard.

Which leads me to the ending of the book. WOW! I am just....wow. Leah really knows how to screw up your emotions. I cried through some of this because there was a part that was just heart-wrenching! I'm not going to say what, but just know that this will happen when you read this!

Overall, this was REALLY good. I'm sad that I didn't like it AS much as the first book, though very close, but I wasn't disappointed. I knew I wouldn't be! I can't wait to see all the amazing and epic things that will be happening in A Touch Menacing!

First off, I'd like to be honest and say that I'm really struggling with this review. I'm not completely sure how I feel about it. I love this series, but this one was my least favorite out of the other four that I've read. But, you know, it's kind of a set up novel. This is supposed to be read after Unbelievable--the fourth book in the series--and then be followed with Wicked. It's just a set up to fill you in on the things in between those times. Even though it was written AFTER these books. 


Thought it's not my favorite, it was still enjoyable to read. I flew through it, I probably would have finished on the second day reading it if I weren't in the middle of spring cleaning. Shepard's writing style and voice just makes you fly through without realizing it. Plus, all the drama in the girls' lives, oh my God!


I just can't believe all the situations they get themselves in. It's crazy! I can't wait to read Wicked. I'm glad this came out right before I was going to read it. I started this series late, after falling in love with the show, so this one came out just in time. =)


This book is told in different stories. It's not just a chapter for each character every now and again, if that makes sense. It's a whole story for each liar: Hanna, Emily, Aria & Spencer. I can't figure out which story was my favorite. I'm thinking Spencer's, but not sure. They were all filled with an interesting tidbit! 


Overall, I don't want to go into too much detail because I know if I do, I'm going to burst with spoilers. Just so much in these stories that I was just like "Oh my God, are you kidding me?!". I'm definitely going to get Wicked soon so I can go back to it being a little creepy, because A wasn't in this book much. I mean, she was there, but not really active. If you know what I mean. And I enjoy it when she's sending all kinds of messages. Also, this book is during their winter break! So it was fun to see them each in their own little heavens/hells for Christmas and New Years. =) I recommend it if you like the series, but it's not absolutely necessary. 

The fifth book in the series is called Wicked. It was released on November 25, 2008.

Supernaturally was a great sequel! I've been dying to read this and when I snagged it from the library I couldn't wait to dive into it. It picks up closely to where Paranormalcy left off. The beginning was a little slow, but still overall enjoyable. Kiersten has a way of writing that even if it is slow, you still fly through the pages. Which is a great skill to have!

I loved reading about Evie and Lend. They are so cute and I could read page after page after page of them just doing nothing but spending time with each other. Lend wasn't in this book as much as I had hoped he would of been, but hopefully the next book we'll see lots and lots of Lend.  *swoon*

Evie is a bit different in this book. She isn't as sarcastic or filled with fire or spark this time around, but she has a lot going on and she's learned a lot since beginning her journey. Totally understandable! It was kind of nice seeing this side of her and she was still an amazing character even without her fire. She was still sarcastic at times too, just not as much!

We meet a new character in this book too; Jack. He was a pretty likeable character at times, definitely hilarious, there was just something about him always off and suspicious. I'm not going to say anything more about him, though, so I won't give away any spoilers.

And Reth kind of redeemed himself a teensy bit with this book. We'll see how that goes! And as for Arianna, I love her. =) She's so funny. All the characters in this book have a pretty awesome personality, very real.

Overall, Supernaturally wasn't as amazing as the first book was, but still very enjoyable and I'm really excited to see how Kiersten will direct the next book. I'm really sad, though, that it's the final book. But also pretty excited about it to see how Evie's journey will end.

If you haven't read this series yet, get on it! The last book will be out soon! This series is filled with amazing characters, a unique storyline, and awesome writing!

The third and final book in this series is Endlessly. It is set to be released on July 24th, 2012.

Why did I wait so long to read this? I should of snagged this the day it came out and read it! I love this series, definitely my favorite series for mermaids. I love mermaids! I really need to start on some other mermaid books I've been looking forward to.

This sequel starts back a couple of weeks after the first one ended. Which I'm happy about, I hate when books have months or years in between their books. (Unless it's HP!) It made me remember what exactly happened at the end of the first book and I dove right in and fell in love all over again!

I'm happy with the amount of Quince in this book. I love him! Dosinia is also back in the sequel, at first I was very annoyed by her but I think she's starting to grow on me. I love Lily, Shannen and Aunt Rachel. Her Aunt Rachel reminds me of my great-aunt a bit, and it makes me smile. Shannen isn't seen much, but she's a great friend. Brody was in the sequel a lot too and it's very surprising who he begins a relationship with! I'm not going to go into much detail because I don't want to spoil it!

There is a new guy in the series now and I'm not sure if I like him or not. It all depends on how he's acting in the scene. Sometimes I think he's okay and other times I'm like, "Just go away!" I love when a book gets those reactions out of me.

Overall, this book was great. The ending is STILL driving me crazy though because I don't have book three. I can't wait for it to come out. I need it NOW! If you haven't read this series yet, do it. It's a great, fun, quick read. And it has mermaids!

I've wanted to read this book the moment I saw that it was discovered through InkPop.com.  As an aspiring YA author, that really inspired me and once I read the summary, I had to read it. I checked my library catalog for weeks after it was released and finally last month I saw that it was on order and I put it on hold. It's been waiting for me to read it for a couple of weeks.

I've heard mixed reviews on this book. A lot of them good, but a few that are bad. I got a little worried, but after a couple of pages in, I knew I would love this book. I had a few problems, but nothing too major.

This book reminds me a little bit of A Witch in Winter. Which I did like, but not as much as I do this one. The writing flowed nicely and I was easily through with fifty pages before I knew it.

The characters were fun to read about and I was really glad that Megan was strong and not a damsel in distress. She took all the information she learned about herself with maturity and didn't whine about it. And I really liked Adam. Sometimes he was a bit too good to be true, but I loved him for it.

The only thing I can think of that bugged me was how easily Megan and Adam fell in love. I get that they had a connection, but it just bothered me a little bit. But don't get me wrong, I love their relationship. I'm rooting for them!

Overall, this was an enjoyable read. I flew through it and I'm looking forward to the sequel. I wish I had it right now to devour! This was a unique storyline. When I read about the summary and read reviews on it, I thought they were witches. But they aren't! But there is some magic involved. I can definitely see myself re-reading this in the future, and though I do love to re-read my favorite books, I'm not necessarily a re-reader.

The second book in the series is called Dawn of the Knights. It is set to be released in 2012.

 I still haven't finished the Evernight series yet, I've only read the first two, but I do plan on re-reading the first two and continuing the series. I am very excited for this because I love Balthazar. =) So I can't wait to read more about him.

I am absolutely dying to read this book ever since finishing the first book, which was completely amazing if you haven't already noticed. Even though I absolutely loved the first book, this one took me a little bit to get into. I don’t really know why. But as soon as I kept reading and got a little ways in, it completely dragged me into the story and I was hooked all over again. I love Violet’s world, no matter how creepy and dark it may be sometimes.

I love the mystery in this series. This one had a pretty big twist in it, making you think it was one person, but another person held the imprint. Sometimes I was able to predict what would happen next, but not always.

This series is a little creepy sometimes to read at night. I was always looking around to make sure I wasn’t being watched. I knew I wasn’t, but I felt like I was, which adds a bit to the story, ha! And just like the first book, their is some parts in the book from someone else's point-of-view which adds to the mystery of trying to figure out who it is. 

Even though you don’t get a whole lot about Mike, the new character, you get to know a lot about his past and his family. And I absolutely adore Jay. So. Freaking. Much. *swoon* They are so adorable! It makes me smile every time they are together. Their relationship grows and despite some bumps in the road, they came out stronger in the end. I also think that there may be a love triangle in the third book, which I'm kind of curious about, though I am so Team Jay!

I also really liked Sara Priest and Rafe. I’m very, VERY curious to hear more about them and to see what sort of ability Rafe may have.

Overall, Desires of the Dead wasn’t as amazing as The Body Finder, but it definitely was a great book and I can’t wait to read the next book. I’m very excited for it!

Since she was a little girl, she has felt the echoes that the dead leave behind in the world... and the imprints that attach to their killers. 
Violet has never considered her strange talent to be a gift; it mostly just led her to find the dead birds her cat had tired of playing with. But now that a serial killer has begun terrorizing her small town, and the echoes of the local girls he's claimed haunt her daily, she realizes she might be the only person who can stop him. 
Despite his fierce protectiveness over her, Jay reluctantly agrees to help Violet on her quest to find the murderer—and Violet is unnerved to find herself hoping that Jay's intentions are much more than friendly. But even as she's falling intensely in love, Violet is getting closer and closer to discovering a killer... and becoming his prey herself.

The Body Finder is a very original story. I added it to my list of books to read back in 2009 when I first heard about it before it debuting in 2010. I knew from the summary that it was going to be amazing and knock my socks off. It took me a while to finally get my hands on this from the library to read, and plus all the other books on my to-read list, but I finally got to read it and I am very glad I don't have to wait a year for the sequel because it was released earlier this year. 


I was hooked from the very beginning. The Prologue was intriguing and made me want to know more from the very first page. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough! It got me out of my reading slump! I haven't finished a book in a while, since my last review for The Iron King (I posted that review on December 1st!). I don't know why,but I just fell into a reading slump and couldn't get out of it. I was attempting books in series I love, but couldn't get into them. So I picked this up, and bam! 


The title really suits Violet's abilities well. I was really curious about the title and her ability to find the dead. Not only can she find the dead, but they each have a specific "echo". Also, the echo leaves an imprint on whatever killed the body (It can be animal or human.). But it's different, I guess, with those who weren't killed. 


Violet is a very good character, I really liked her. Also, her best friend Jay, who she is totally in love with is amazing. They were my two favorite characters. I can't really think of anything at the moment that bugged me, other than the fact of their feelings for one another which is totally see through from the very beginning. (Sigh! It was so adorable!)


Also, Violet doesn't think negatively about herself like most YA heroines seem to do. Which was a relief because I'm really getting tired of them. And she isn't popular, or a loser. She's somewhere in the middle. She doesn't want to be popular either. Very fresh and added to her character. She also went to the bathroom! Which you hardly EVER see in books. I know this is random, but does it bother y'all when a character doesn't go to the bathroom? I mean, I know it's not necessary to add it into the book, but still. Am I right? 

In different chapters, at the end before the new chapter begins, there is a few pages from the killer's point of view, which I loved! It was mega creepy and just a very great add on! It really added to the story and every time I finished a chapter and saw the killer's point of view I couldn't wait to read it! The mystery in the book is amazing and you don't really know who it is until it is revealed. Which I loved too. There are way too many mystery books out there that you can totally see who the suspect is chapters ahead. 

Overall, I can't wait to read the next one. This book is up high on my faves! The writing flowed well and just was amazing. I don't really know what else to say. Just read it! Soon!

I read the first book, Unearthly, in the beginning of the year and I LOVED it. I am so tempted to re-read it right now because I loved it so much. So naturally I'd want to read the sequel. I can't wait to get my hands on a copy of this! And aren't the covers for this series beautiful?!
