Why Do I Want It? This sounds really interesting and unique. I'm really interested in seeing how this book plays out. Also, the cover is pretty cool as well. =D I like how she's looking at her reflection in the water, and it's blurry, but at the same time it's like she's kind of already in the water. Weird! =D

For starters, well, Nick is dead. Supposedly, he’s been taken to a mythic place for warriors known as Valhalla, so Zara and her friends might be able to get him back. But it’s taking time, and meanwhile a group of evil pixies is devastating Bedford, with more teens going missing every day. An all-out war seems imminent, and the good guys need all the warriors they can find. But how to get to Valhalla? 
And even if Zara and her friends discover the way, there’s that other small problem: Zara’s been pixie kissed. When she finds Nick, will he even want to go with her? Especially since she hasn’t just turned… She’s Astley’s queen.

First Paragraph: "Am I really not allowed to complain about being here?" I ask as we enter Bedford High School about an hour late for the winter ball. In an attempt to make it more ball and less high school, the lights are dimmed in the front foyer and giant white snowflakes and twinkly lights dangle from the ceiling. They are supposed to look for festive, but they are dingy from years of use. The white is sort of an off-yellow that looks like old tea-stained teeth more than snow. 

 Entice was another great installment to the series, but wasn't as amazing as the first book or as good as the second. Which is usually how it works. It picks up right where Captivate left off. With Zara, now a pixie queen, going to the high school winter ball with her friends. She goes just to make them happy, which is what I always love about Zara. Even though so much has changed throughout the series so far, she still stays true to what she believes in. She grows a lot and learns a lot during the series, but she is still the same old Zara. Even if she has turned into a pixie, which everyone thinks are all bad.


I'm not sure anymore if I'm team Nick or Team Astley. I was IN LOVE with Nick before this book, and now  I have fallen in love with Astley as well. Maybe the next book will clear things up for me. :)

I love the world that Jones' has created! She describes things so beautifully! I sometimes read very slow just to take in all the descriptions.

I absolutely adore this series, and Jones' writing, and I can't wait for the next installment!

Zara's pixies are locked away in the forest, but that doesn't mean the threat is gone. In captivity, the king's needs grow stronger and his power weakens. When a new king, Astley, arrives and tells Zara she's fated to be his queen, Zara discovers she's in deeper than she ever imagined.

First Paragraph: There are those bizarre people who actually like physical education class. You expect these people to grunt a lot and enjoy the great art of sweating. You expect them to wear designer PE gear and yell stuff like, "Dude, we are going to rock this freaking volleyball court." While I don't do any of those things, I swear I am still one of those bizarre PE-loving people. 

Captivate was very...captivating! Just like it's previous novel, Need. Captivate picked up right where Need left off. I really love when a series does that. It pulls you in from page one and doesn't let you go until the ride is over. 


You get to know the characters a lot better in the second installment. Which I loved! I love all the characters, I can't really pick one that I don't like. Other than most of the evil pixies, obviously. Not only do you get to know the characters more from the first novel, but you meet a whole new character named Astley. I really liked him, but he really has me curious. I'm not sure if I really trust him yet, maybe we'll find out more about him in the next installment, Entice. 


I don't really know what else to say about this book, it's just one of those books you can't really explain. This book took me on a roller coaster of emotions. Like all good books should. ;) 


I really liked the new additions to the book as well, like Valhalla, and I can't wait to read more! I'll be picking up Entice soon to read! Hopefully when I go in to the library this week they'll have it! 


Overall, this book was amazing. I loved it. Not as much as I loved Need, but it's still a favorite! 


I recommend this to all pixie lovers. ;) This is NOT your average tinkerbell story.

First Paragraph: "It's all a total fantasy," Devin Macy says as we shove our way down the crowded school  hallway, making the long trek to the gym after last bell. 

First, I'm going to honestly say that I'm not completely sure what to say about this book. It took me a while to get into and I was so worried that I wouldn't be able to get fully into it, but by the page number I was going to stop at if I couldn't get into it passed me by which I was happy for.

This book made me uncomfortable. It made me want to keep reading, but at the same time made me want to put it away and say heck no to it.

Something that seriously bothered me about Chan, the main character, is that even though she's sixteen she makes it sound like she's a lot younger than she is most of the time. I guess that's from being sheltered by her parents for so long? And for good reason.

I can relate to her about some things with the guy trouble. Sometimes you want to be in a relationship, but not fully in one. I've had an online relationship before that got really serious, but it was nothing like Chan's. My online relationship wasn't a creep, didn't make me tell him things I didn't want to and didn't try and get me to do things I wasn't comfortable with like taking my clothes off and making videos to sell online.

That's a big no, no for being online! This book really teaches you that you have to be extremely careful of who you talk to and who you tell things to online. Just because you think you know someone online and think you can trust them, doesn't mean you always can. You have to take extra precautions in what you do, or it could seriously put you in danger.

I really loved this part of the book. What it teaches. I really struggled with what to rate this book. I really liked what it was about, but didn't like the book itself enough to give it four hearts. I do recommend this book, though. I recommend this book for everyone and thinks everyone should at least read it once.

Overall, it's an uncomfortable subject, but a good lesson learned. Worth the time spent trying to get into it.
