 I LOVE this series! This is definitely my favorite fae series! Is this the last book? I think it is, but I don't know for sure. I hope not! I'm really excited to see what happens next to Zara, and then of course Nick and Astley! Maybe this book will help me decide which team I'm on!

For starters, well, Nick is dead. Supposedly, he’s been taken to a mythic place for warriors known as Valhalla, so Zara and her friends might be able to get him back. But it’s taking time, and meanwhile a group of evil pixies is devastating Bedford, with more teens going missing every day. An all-out war seems imminent, and the good guys need all the warriors they can find. But how to get to Valhalla? 
And even if Zara and her friends discover the way, there’s that other small problem: Zara’s been pixie kissed. When she finds Nick, will he even want to go with her? Especially since she hasn’t just turned… She’s Astley’s queen.

First Paragraph: "Am I really not allowed to complain about being here?" I ask as we enter Bedford High School about an hour late for the winter ball. In an attempt to make it more ball and less high school, the lights are dimmed in the front foyer and giant white snowflakes and twinkly lights dangle from the ceiling. They are supposed to look for festive, but they are dingy from years of use. The white is sort of an off-yellow that looks like old tea-stained teeth more than snow. 

 Entice was another great installment to the series, but wasn't as amazing as the first book or as good as the second. Which is usually how it works. It picks up right where Captivate left off. With Zara, now a pixie queen, going to the high school winter ball with her friends. She goes just to make them happy, which is what I always love about Zara. Even though so much has changed throughout the series so far, she still stays true to what she believes in. She grows a lot and learns a lot during the series, but she is still the same old Zara. Even if she has turned into a pixie, which everyone thinks are all bad.


I'm not sure anymore if I'm team Nick or Team Astley. I was IN LOVE with Nick before this book, and now  I have fallen in love with Astley as well. Maybe the next book will clear things up for me. :)

I love the world that Jones' has created! She describes things so beautifully! I sometimes read very slow just to take in all the descriptions.

I absolutely adore this series, and Jones' writing, and I can't wait for the next installment!

Zara's pixies are locked away in the forest, but that doesn't mean the threat is gone. In captivity, the king's needs grow stronger and his power weakens. When a new king, Astley, arrives and tells Zara she's fated to be his queen, Zara discovers she's in deeper than she ever imagined.

First Paragraph: There are those bizarre people who actually like physical education class. You expect these people to grunt a lot and enjoy the great art of sweating. You expect them to wear designer PE gear and yell stuff like, "Dude, we are going to rock this freaking volleyball court." While I don't do any of those things, I swear I am still one of those bizarre PE-loving people. 

Captivate was very...captivating! Just like it's previous novel, Need. Captivate picked up right where Need left off. I really love when a series does that. It pulls you in from page one and doesn't let you go until the ride is over. 


You get to know the characters a lot better in the second installment. Which I loved! I love all the characters, I can't really pick one that I don't like. Other than most of the evil pixies, obviously. Not only do you get to know the characters more from the first novel, but you meet a whole new character named Astley. I really liked him, but he really has me curious. I'm not sure if I really trust him yet, maybe we'll find out more about him in the next installment, Entice. 


I don't really know what else to say about this book, it's just one of those books you can't really explain. This book took me on a roller coaster of emotions. Like all good books should. ;) 


I really liked the new additions to the book as well, like Valhalla, and I can't wait to read more! I'll be picking up Entice soon to read! Hopefully when I go in to the library this week they'll have it! 


Overall, this book was amazing. I loved it. Not as much as I loved Need, but it's still a favorite! 


I recommend this to all pixie lovers. ;) This is NOT your average tinkerbell story.

I think I may be one of the last ones to read this book, ha ha. But it's not because I didn't want to, it's because I've owned it for a while, but just never gotten around to reading it. Now I've finally read it and I absolutely loved it! Jones created an amazing world, that is basically like our own, but add in some Pixies and shifters, oh my!

The Pixies aren't the cute fairy-like creatures some people think them to be; they are evil! They have a need that clouds every human instinct some may have.

I was hooked from the very first chapter, though it kind of irritated me with how she still described her father as being her "step-dad" even though she was really close to him and he was the only father she'd known all her life. I know it needed to be classified that he was her step-father in the beginning, but it doesn't need to be said all the time. Yeah, he wasn't her biological-blood father, but he was still her father in all the ways that counted.

Made me really think about my relationship with my step-dad. We haven't always had the greatest relationship, but he's my father.

I really liked Jones' writing tone, made everything easy to read and kept you intrigued the whole way through. Even though I kind of guessed at some things from the very beginning, she still had me going "Whoa! Really?" at a lot of things. Stuff that she kept a secret until it happened, somehow. Sneaky, sneaky! ;)

Zara was a pretty decent main character. I sometimes find myself being seriously annoyed by the protagonist, I guess it's because you're with them the whole time and get to know them more than most characters. Zara had her flaws, but who doesn't? They made her more real and she was a true, genuine, nice girl. Which I loved.

And Nick. Ahh, cuteee Nick. Another YA male to fall in love with. He's so sweet with the right amount of attitude. Loved it. :) And Ian, ugh, Ian. He creeped me out from the start! Don't want to go into details, though, because I don't want to spoil anything. But I know all of you who have read Need understand what I'm talking about. Right?

Overall, this was a very addicting, fun, addicting, written well, addicting, unique, did I say addicting? book. I would recommend this to any and every YA  fantasy loving bookworm out there. :)

Sorry this wasn't the best review, but I just honestly didn't know much of what to say about this book. Do you ever get those books that you love, but can't really explain it very well? If so, this was one of them.
